How AussieFirePack creates, sources, reviews, updates, and corrects financial education content and calculator explanations.

By AussieFirePack project teamLast reviewed 27 July 2026

Purpose

Content is written to explain the calculators, their assumptions, and Australian retirement-planning concepts. It is not written to recommend a product, security, strategy, or course of action for an individual.

Sources

Changing rules and thresholds should be checked against primary sources such as the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC MoneySmart, and Services Australia. Statistical or market-data claims should identify their provider and relevant date. The sources page records the references currently used.

Authorship and review

Pages identify the responsible creator and last-reviewed date. A professional review is named only after a reviewer has agreed to be identified and their credentials have been verified. A disclaimer is not treated as a substitute for accurate methods or clear limitations.

Updates

Dates are changed only when the page or calculator has been materially reviewed. Content affected by legislation, government thresholds, provider APIs, or modelling changes should be checked after those inputs change.

Automation

Automation may assist research, drafting, testing, or formatting, but a page should not be published solely to target a search query. Material claims, formulas, links, and limitations require human review before release.

Corrections

Substantive corrections should be recorded with the date, affected page, and nature of the change. See the corrections policy and log.
